Although it is still technically the fall season on the calendar, it has been quite the snowy weather this week!
SNOWPANTS:
Please remember to send snow pants with your child each day that it is snowy outside or cold. Students play outside two times a day and love to play in the snow. Without snow pants, your child cannot play with their friends in the snow. Snow pants are worn over top of normal pants when children play outside. When they come inside, they take the snow pants off. Snow pants cannot be worn in the classroom. They are often wet and can be too warm.

This week we:
- learned our first digraph (th) that has two sounds!
The quiet (unvoiced) 'th' sound as in 'thin', 'thick', 'three' and 'throw':
The noisy (voiced) 'th' sound as in 'that', 'this' and 'them':
Ask your child to read to following words:
- practiced segmenting words to write words and sentences about this forest picture
- made a variety of different patterns using various manipulatives (colour, size, etc), and extended a given pattern
- brainstormed and created a list of weather and clothing specific to the fall season.
